Oak/Cedar Chest Restoration

We sadly took the punk out of this lane chest and returned it to a former glory. We razorbladed the stickers off and saved what we could for prosperity. Following that, we scraped the old finish off which was failing in spots as well as some water rings. There was a large section of missing veneer revealing the particle board underneath. This was brought back to a smooth substrate and a new veneer was used to patch the spot. The chest was stained and given an oil based finish on the outside. The inside cedar was left untouched.
