
teak table restoration
Full restoration of this round teak dining table (chair set to come). The factory finish was toned heavily to a near black that hid the grain almost entirely. We removed the old finish with card scrapers and a little sanding. The thick and beefy veneer reduced the risk of burning through to the substrate so we were able to avoid chemical strippers. Decisions needed to be made about the final look. The natural color was too yellow/orange for the customer’s liking so what you see above is the color we landed on. Here’s what we did!
